CCS/TMDSDOCK28379D: Cannot connect to target. Does not seem to recognize the board

Part Number: TMDSDOCK28379D

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I just started using TMDSDOCK28379D with Docking Station.  I power up the board with USB cable provided, connected to the Docking Station.

When I try to debug it, I get this error:

</quote> Error connecting to the target:
(Error -151 @ 0x0)
One of the FTDI driver functions used during the connect
returned bad status or an error. The cause may be one or
more of: no XDS100 is plugged in, invalid XDS100 serial number,
blank XDS100 EEPROM, missing FTDI drivers, faulty USB cable.
Use the xds100serial command-line utility in the 'common/uscif'
folder to verify the XDS100 can be located.
(Emulation package 8.3.0.00003)

</endquote>

When I ran the xds100serial command-line uitlity I got "No XDS100 found in the system".

Do you have any suggestions on what I can try next?

Thank you.

  • Figured it out!  It requires 2 USB cables, both connected to the control card itself (not the docking station).

It seems one USB power up one side of the control card and the other power up the other side of the control card.
