CCS/TIDM-1000: Stand Alone Compensation Designer

Part Number: TIDM-1000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: POWERSUITE,

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Good Morning,

I am using power suite to develop the 3 ph Vienna rectifier and would like to use more than proportional control.

I have opened the stand alone Compensation Designer but how does the code get updated?

Thanks

Steve

  • Hi Steven,

I need to check this and I will get it back to you tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.

  • Hi Steven,

    Sorry for the late reply.

The standalone compensation designer is disconnected from the powerSUITE , hence it cannot change the powerSUITE solution directly.

You have to use compensation designer through solution adapter if you want to modify the coefficient directly. You can search for powerSUITE for more information.

  • Is proportional gain and PI the only type of compensation available for the Solution Adapter Compensation Designer for the TIDM-1000? Are there any other ways to change coefficients in the code without using the Solution Adapter Compensation Designer GUI in case we wanted to make a PID controller etc?

  • Hi Colin,

Yes, they are only options for Solution Adapter Compensation Designer. You can use the non-powerSUITE version of the project and use the standalone conpensation designer to tune the coeff. But you have to change the code by yourself.
