CCS/TMS320F28032: How to solve lock issue of 28032

hi, C2000 team,

we found an issue device, we can connect it with JTAG, we found this device was locked, we can't unlock it after we enter the password.

we tried SCI communication, but this device didn't reply via SCI. 

we hope to know, why this device was locked?? which reason can cause it??

    Erwin,

    From your email I assume that the device wasn't intentionally locked by programming the passwords(CSM) in the flash.

    All devices come from TI in erased/unlocked state; the only other way to program the password (unintentionally) is if a normal flash programmation process is interrupted, either by a XRSn or a power fault. 

    In these cases there is a chance(not always) that since the flash is in the programmation process the password locations may get some non erased value.  In these cases, since the password is not known, the device is considered permanently locked and would need to be replaced.

    Let me know if the customer can verify that there was an error when attempting a flash program and this would correlate, or there has not been an attempt to program.
