Assembler directive / macro to extract upper/lower 16 bit words from a 32 bit #defined constant

Hello

I am looking for a assembler directive or  a macro to be placed in a 16Bit immediate operand, that will extract the upper or lower word from a 32 bit #defined constant.

Please provide the reference to the documentation for the same.
