TMS320F28377D: External EEPROM interface with Parallel communication

Hi,

I am using TMSS320F28377D and external EEPROM chip(1 Mb) which has Parallel interface. The EEPROM has 16 Address lines and 8 data lines.

I am not sure if the controller can support the parallel interface with external EEPROM or not.

Can you please suggest how I can interface the Parallel EEPROM which external with TMS320F28377D.

EEPROM used is AT28C010E-12TU.

The EEPROM datasheet describes its interface as being modeled on the asynchronous SRAM interface:

Based on this, I would expect it to be compatible with EMIF. You can find EMIF information in the datasheet, TRM, appnote, and configuration tool (~\C2000Ware_XXXX\boards\TIDesigns\F28379D_EMIF_DC\C2000-EMIF_ConfigurationTool.xlsx)

Hello Tommy,

Adding to the post above.....

If I use TMS320F28335 controller, then can I use XINTF interface for EEPROM the way we can use EMIF for TMS320F28377D.

Namita,

Correct, the XINTF also supports asynchronous SRAM.

The C2000 Peripheral Guide is helpful if you wish to compare peripherals between devices.
