TMS320F28379D: Blank check for ECC area

Hi experts,

SPNU629A has the following description.

For example, if I do a Blank check after Erase, can I assume that when I call Fapi_doBlankCheck(), the program area is Blank checked but the ECC area is not Blank checked?

Is there a way to do a Blank check on the ECC area?

Sasaki-san,

Yes, these functions do not check the ECC area on this device. For your example, blank check is not tested for ECC area - it is checked only for the flash main array.

User applications can read the ECC space to check as needed.

I understand that I can read the ECC area.
I suggest to customers to verify the ECC area at 0xFF.
