Yes.  I have replaced the command file with F28069.cmd from the common  folder.

Do you have the correct settings for S1 on the launchpad? Set S1-3 to OFF, S1-1 and S1-2 to ON if you want to run the code in Flash once you've programmed the device.

Yes.  Settings is correct.  After power cycle if I press the reset button it works.  But it is not working during power on

Hi Ramesh,

Have you enabled the RX ERR INT ENA bit (SCICTL1.6) and then reset the SCI if there are any receive errors detected?

If not I would recommend that you enable the receive error interrupt bit and within the ISR check if there are any errors. If any of the error flag bits are set then reset the SCI module.

Hi Marlyn,

In the example   RX ERR INT ENA bit  is disable,  I can enable.  Unfortunately the TMS320F28069 IC is getting heated up when I connect the USB connector!.   However I could flash and leds are blinking.  But I am scared to keep it connected for more time.  Any idea  why the IC is getting heated?

1. What was the USB connected to?
2. How long were you using the LaunchPad before this condition occurred? Was it happening before?
3. In what type of environment are you using the LaunchPad?
4. Did you buy the LaunchPad from either a distributor or the TI store?
5. What part of the board is heating up, is it just the IC?
6. Have you ever connected anything other than the USB to the LaunchPad?

I  was using for many days.  It never happened

Just the IC alone

Yes.  I have connected  SPI port  to another SPI port of TM4c1294 Launchpad.

Can you send a picture of your LP so we can review the jumper settings one more time? 

How did you connect your C2000 LP to the TM4C LP? Did you mate the two boards together or did you individually wire the SPI pins?

I connected  SPISIMOA,SPISOMIA,SPISTEA, SPICLKA  to respective pin ofTM4c LP( SPI port) through wires

I was using the launchpad for quiet some time.  One day accidently I touched the IC and felt the heat.  Then only I realized it is heating up.  I got another launchpad today and it is not heating up.

It is difficult to know what happened since you had the launchpad and it was working properly for quite some time. I am glad you were able to get a replacement and that it is not heating up. Are you able to properly flash the code and this launchpad? Do you still see the same issue?

I do not see any issues in the new launchpad.  But serial port issue still there in new board too.

Thank you for explaining. After you enabled the RX ERR INT ENA bit did you also reset the SCI module if any receive errors were detected within the ISR?
