HET_IDE: Tools required to work with TMS570 HET and N2HET

Part Number: HET_IDE

We need help on identifying the development tools required to work with TMS570 HET and N2HET.

Following are our queries.

1.       High End Timer (HET)https://d.adroll.com/cm/aol/out  http://www.ti.com/tool/het_ide

              http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/HET_IDE

Is this only single software sufficient for the development of HET and N2HET?

Does it have simulation environment available for simulating HET/NHET waveforms?

Is it free licensed software with full/limited features? If not, could you please share a quotation for full feature version?

2.       Synapticad WaveFormer Pro: http://www.syncad.com/waveformer_waveform_editor.htm

The 90 days free license of this software is already integrated in “High End Timer (HET)”.  Do we need to purchase a license version of it to have full features?

How to integrate full feature license with HET IDE?

3.       NHET Assembler Tool:  http://www.ti.com/tool/nhet-assembler

Do we need to purchase this software separately or is it integrated in “High End Timer (HET)”?

What is exact use of this software?

Can you please provide quotation for this?

Regards,

Bhushan

  • Hello Bhushan,

The NHET IDE is intended to simplify the usage of the High End Timer simulator, and it provides an easy way to develop and debug the code for NHET. It is good enough for users to develop NHET code.

The free version waveformer has the full set of features during the 90 days if you have a free 90-day license. After the 90-day evaluation period or if no license installed, the NHET simulator will use the SynaptiCAD's waveViewer as the waveform viewer for displaying the results of the simulator. If you want to extend your license, please contact SynaptiCAD directly at
sales@syncad.com, or call by phone 540-953-3390.

The NHET assembler translates NHET assembly language source files into machine language object files. The NHET assembler can generate the COFF object file (.hbj) for the NHET simulator, the .hnc file for the host assembler, and the .h and .c files for the host C compiler. The NHET assembler is installed with HET IDE, it is free of charge.
  • Thank you Mr./Ms. QJ Wang,

May I know if this HET_IDE is available as free version or do we need to purchase it to have full features?

  • Hello Bhushan,

HET IDE is free of charge. It includes:
    1. GUI interface for ease of use
    2. Simulation kernel, assembler
    3. Integrated waveform viewer from SynaptiCAD
