I am trying to display something on the 16x2 LCD using TMS57004 launch pad.Could you provide a sample code for the same.

Hi Silpa,

What is the part number for the LCD that you are trying to drive? Does it have a boosterpack that can plug onto the launchpad? See this boosterpack for example: www.ti.com/.../430boost-sharp96

A boosterpack will typically include a sample test project that you can use to drive the LCD. Also note that TMS570 microcontrollers do not have an on-chip LCD controller IP, so it needs to interface to an external controller / driver using an SPI/I2C interface.

Hi Silpa,

That is better. This is an LCD with a SPI interface, so you can use any MCU with an SPI interface to drive it. The boosterpack includes a link to example software that runs on an MSP432 MCU launchpad. You can identify the SPI configuration necessary and then generate your own project using HALCoGen to replicate the code example on a TMS570 launchpad.
