CCS/TMS570LC4357: Hercules MCUs in JTAG chain

How is it possible to connect to TMS570LC4357 in JTAG chain?
We have board with two TMS570LC4357.This two MCU is connected in chain to one JTAG connector.
We are able problem to connect both MCUs with Segger J-LINK (with user defined script). But there is no visible option to setup XDS200 J-LINK tool in this configuration in TI UniFlash tool. How to do it?

Hello Jiri,

You need to have both devices in same target configuration file. You can select any of them to connect.

Yes, It is exactly what we need. Problem is that we can't found this setting anywhere! Where is it on Uniflash? How can I create this configuration file?

Hi Jiri,

In Target Configuration of CCS or Uniflash.

After you add the emulator (for example xds110) and the device (e.g. TMS570LS1227), click "Texas Instructment XDS110 USB Debug Probe", click "right button" of your mouse, select "Add" to add another device

Problem is that right click on highlighted area don't have ANY reaction!
It try to click anywhere already, but without success. We are not able to find WHERE we can found this setting.

Hi Jiri,

Uniflash doesn't support this feature. Please use CCS Target Configuration.

CCS is development tool. We need something for our service department. Simple tool to download SW into MCU.

We try to found another JTAG tool but without success. Segger works too, bud don't allow to erase "EEPROM Bank" :-(

Note: UniFlash (+XDS...) don't allow to erase "EEPROM bank" independently. To make it work we must select any another sector from program flash and in this case it works. It is bug.

Hello Jiri,

Uniflash can be used to erase program flash (bank 0, bank1) and data flash (eeprom). In Erase options, please check "Selected Sectors Only" and check the sectors of Bank7.
