LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012: BoosterPack plug-in Module connectors and connection wires

Part Number: LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012

Hi Team,

We have a customer inquiry below about the 40-pin module connector of LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012:

1. He wants to use two ADS128S102 BoosterPack on the LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012. Is it possible that he can buy the launchpad with complete module connectors?
2. If it is not possible to buy the launchpad complete module connectors for his 2 ADS128S102 BoosterPack, what is the part number of the 40-pin module connector to assemble it in the board.
3. Why LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012 does not come with the other 40-pin module connector if this can be use up to two boosterpacks.
4. Connection wires needed for the launchpad specially the blue-wired (What does it mean by the blue wire?) connection for the SPI chip select signal as discussed in the e2e forum link below:

Thanks!
Jonathan

  • Hello Jonathan,

The launchpad has two set of connectors, but only one set (J2, J3, J4, J5) is populated.  The part number for the connector is SSQ-110-04-F-D (manufacturer) or SAM1204-10-ND (digikey).

If the boosterpad needs any signals which are on the corresponding connectors of LS12x launchpad, they need blue wires to route signals to those connectors. For example, I2C signals. On LS12x launchpad, the I2C signals are on J5 (pin 8 and pin9) rather than on J6 (pin 9 and pin 10).
