TMS570LS3137: TMS570LS3137: Reset state pull up/down values for TMS570

Part Number: TMS570LS3137

Dear Support Team,

Most of pins of TMS570 have 20uA pull (up or down) which is equivalent to 3.3V/20uA=165Kohms during normal operational mode and these Internal pullup/pulldown allows unused I/O pins to be left unconnected. My concern is with the strength of these internal pull types, is it sufficient? How should we decide it?

  • The internal pulls are weaker by design so that they can be over-driven externally without using up significant amount of power. These internal pulls are sufficient to bias the inputs so that they are not floating. You could add an external pull depending on your requirements of noise immunity. Alternatively, you can configure unused I/O pins as outputs and drive them low.
