TMS570LC4357: Self-Test Controller Diagnostics

Hi,

I am trying to implement the Self-Test Controller Diagnostics described in section 10.10 of the Technical Reference Manual for STC1.

It works fine for segment 0. When enabling SELF_CHECK_KEY and FAULT_INS in STCSCSCR register, I get a STCGSTAT - TEST_FAIL and STCFSTAT - FSEG_ID is set to 00.

But when I try it for segment 1 by setting STCSEGPLR - SEGID_PLOAD to 1, I still get a STCGSTAT - TEST_FAIL but STCFSTAT - FSEG_ID is set to 00 where it should be 01.

Is there anything not described in section 10.10 of the Technical Reference Manual ?

Hi Charles,

The FSEG_ID should indicate the segment number that failed the self-test. I will verify this observation and confirm if I see the issue as well.

Hi Sunil,

Thank you. It seems that watever value we set in STCSEGPLR - SEGID_PLOAD,, the self-test is performed on segment 0. We observed this behaviour through STCCADDR1 which always contains 0xFC after running the test on one interval.
