I have the similar issue "Hercules Safety MCU Demos software can not connect to LaunchPad"

    Hello Susan,

    The GUI of this demo was developed to work under window XP. It may not work for windows 7 and windows 10. 

    The source code of the all the examples in this demo can be imported to CCS (code composer studtio), and loaded to MCU flash through proper JTAG debugger (xds100v2, xds110, etc).
