MSP430F2619S-HT: Operating the device at 3.8V

Part Number: MSP430F2619S-HT

Hi Team,

The absolute maximum operating voltage of MSP430F2619SPM is 4.1V as stated in the datasheet and the recommended operating condition is 3.6V (max). Our customer would like to know if there are any concerns or significant degradation to MTBF of this device if it is operated continuously with 3.8V applied to VCC. If they operate the device in this condition continuously, should they be concerned about degraded reliability or will this part continue to operate as expected?

Regards,

Danilo

  • Hey Danilo,

Running the device outside of the recommended operating conditions means we can not guarantee proper operation.  These ranges are used for all specifications in the datasheet. You will see this note for basically all spec tables:

I would recommend the customer run the device < 3.6V.

    Thanks,

    JD
