MSP430F477: Can I convert a DC Signal with the sigma-delta converter?

Part Number: MSP430F477

Hello ....

I have post a Question in this forum regarding a delta-sigma converter. I wanted to know whether you can sample DC voltage signals with a sigma-delta converter.

My first Post:
“For a design with a µC MSP430F477 I need an AD converter. However, the µC only has a sigma delta converter. Can I convert a DC Signal with the sigma-delta converter?”.

The anser at my first Post:
"Hi Jurgen,

Yes. SD converters are used in precision applications, such as weigh scales, thermocouples and PIR sensors. In these types of applications, the measured signal are DC or very low frequency."

My second Post:

thank you very much for your answer.
is there an example how to program the DS to convert DC signals? I've tried this, but the results are nonsense.
Regards Jurgen“

Unfortunately, I did not get a sufficient answer. Is there someone at your place who can help me with my problem and give me a sample program?

Regards Jurgen
