MSP430G2553: Connections between MSP-FET430UIF and MSP430G2553

For the most up to date recommendation for connecting MSP devices via 4-wire JTAG or 2-wire SBW programming interfaces, please see the MSP HW Tool's User Guide, Section 2. In particular, look at Figure 2-1 for 4-wire JTAG, and for MSP430G2553, look at Figure 2-2 if utilizing the 2-wire SBW connection. 

Also, I would like to point out that the MSP-FET430UIF has been obsolete for some time. Although it does support the MSP430G2553, it may not support the latest versions of CCS and IAR. I recommend getting the latest MSP debugger the MSP-FET.
