Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-GANG, MSP-FET
If we use the MSP-Gang Programmer software, we can program the MSP's.
If we use the example program from LabVIEW, we get the error 23 MCU init failed.
Kind regards Timo

What do you mean " when we start the main process?"
You can connect to the MCU, but you can't run the code? Can you show me the error?
Can you tell me what is the content of error 23?
Do you use the open source msp430.dll to develop your system? Sorry, I can't understand your system clearly.
Yes, we use the msp430.dll. The calling software is LabVIEW 2020 32bit. We can open the communication to the GangProgrammer, erase the image and send new image file. But when we start the main process (that should flash the image file to the MSP's), the error 23 appears.
Seems that you can communicate with Gang but you can't control the Gang to send information through JTAG.
For MSP-Gang it is developed by third party, I am not quite sure what happens. See from the log, the VCC even not setup right. Can you follow its example code and make a try:
Which I am familiar with is this one: https://www.ti.com/tool/MSPDS?keyMatch=&tisearch=search-everything&usecase=software. It is an open source of MSP430.dll. You can also find example code that how to use it. But it is for MSP-FET, not for MS-GANG.
Thanks, for the information! Unfortunately, that doesn't help me either. Because we use Labview as software.
So the problem would be:
1. Does the MSP-GANG.dll can work. I think you need double check. Then you can know if the problem happens on your Labview or MSP-GANG.dll.
I think that the application that is delivered with the programmer also works with the MSP-Gang.dll. This works. So I assume that I have an error in the process in our LabVIEW program. Can someone give me a chronological programming sequence for flashing an image (text file).
I would like to implement the following procedure. There is a flash.txt file. I would like to program this on 6 connected MSPs. The power supply should be taken over by the gear programmer. After successful programming, it is necessary to overwrite 2 bytes in a certain address range. What should the logical process look like?
It doesn't support this function to write certain bytes in MCU.
I would advise you to:
1. Change the txt file
2. Use MSP430.dll
