MSP430FR2476: JTAG and BSL UART Support

Part Number: MSP430FR2476

I have few questions about JTAG and BSL UART available in MSP430FR2476.

  1.  As per datasheets and supported documents, JTAG and BSL UART pins are multiplexed. If we are planning to use JTAG, is there any possibility of utilizing the BSL UART feature?
  2. The JTAG pins are shared with port I/Os, which is indicated by the presence of a TEST pin. The shared pins are enabled for JTAG communication by connecting the TEST pin to VCC. Can we provide a pull-up on the TEST pin to enable JTAG instead of connecting to JTAG Header?
  3. Please find the attached JTAG Debug header connection taken from the datasheet. Please check and suggest the possibility of removing the TEST signal connection from the Header. Since we already have one custom made debug board for MSP432 which doesn't have this TEST pin. If the TEST pin from the header is removed we can reuse the same debug board for this new design.
