Hi Everyone,

We are designing DN15 Water meter with MSP430FR6047.

I want to calibrate the ultrasonic flow sensor with the GUI for water flow measurement (ultrasonic sensing design center)

I also tested the waveform and ADC capture at zero flow.

In summary, we recommend calibrating your meter with a known reference meter in series.

I am currently using multi point calibration factor for the calibration.

I want use meter constant method, in the my meter product.

Please can you help solve this problem?

Hi Sumit,

We recommend using multipoint calibration if you want to achieve good accuracy across a wide range of flow rates. If you only care about the accuracy around a single flow rate, you should connect a reference meter in series and update your meter constant to give the same flow as your reference meter at the flow rate of interest.

So as you said, we are currently using multipoint calibration method for wide range of flow rates and the accuracy for the multipoint calibration is approx 1-2%.

So there is any possibility to use meter constant for wide range of flow?

Hi Sumit,

The accuracy will likely be worse without multipoint calibration. If you only care about the accuracy at a single flow rate, you could just calibrate your meter against a reference meter at this single flow point.
