MSP430G2433: Short glitches on all I/O lines upon wake up

Would it be possible for the customer to reproduce this issue with one of our LPM3 examples?  Can you also elaborate on how the wakeup is being triggered?

Thank you for your response. We have received this feedback from our customer,

The code that I am running was derived from one of the examples. I started with 'mps430g2XX2_lpm3'. Essentially the program 'wakes up' -> 'does stuff with IO ports' -> 'goes to sleep'. The issue arises when it 'wakes up' and the IO ports 'glitch' momentarily (60-64us). I do have an external crystal (32.XkHz) and is is possible that perhaps the I/O pins for the crystal are not quite right? I could see how this might effect how long the uP takes to 'wake up' but I don't think it should affect the state of the pins during this time....

Can you confirm that you see this issue with the original unmodified example from resource explorer?

I'm currently out of the office until next Thursday.  I might be able to recruit a colleague to help, but I need to make sure the issue can be reproduced with our unmodified example code first.

Interestingly enough this 'glitch' does not seem to occur with the unmodified example code.

I would propose that you make incremental modifications to this project until you see the issue appear.  I'm wondering if you might be triggering a transition into a deeper LPM state in your code which is causing the glitch.

A copy of the code which exhibits this problem would likely be very revealing. Running down the problem without it is essentially impossible.

Within my program I read several of the ADC inputs (based on one of the other examples segments of code).   If I eliminate this section of code the glitch that we have been discussing goes away.  I suppose the next step could be that I ADD some code to read ADC inputs to the example project that we have been discussing.

Since details matter a description of what you think the code is doing is useless.

I think we are all aware that details matter (David).  Leonardo, when I have some time I will track this down.  I have two versions of code one with 'glitches' and one without.  One reads ADC inputs the other does not.  I will get back to you when I have additional information.
