Part Number: MSP430F2618

Greetings.

My board has a software clock/calendar derived from Timer_B clocked by a watch 32768 Hz watch crystal on LFXT1CLK.

Because DVCC can drop to 2.7V, LFXT1CLK then runs slow at 20480 Hz.

The design uses a supercapacitor as a back up supply, so it is not easy to provide a constant 3.3V. Low energy operation is a design priority.

I would appreciate suggestions on how to keep the time more accurate? A few seconds per day of error is acceptable.

JC
