MSP430FR6043: USS Module direct transducer drive EVM430FR6043

Part Number: MSP430FR6043

Hi

The SN74LVC2T45DCTR on the EVM430FR6043 seems to work as a level shifter when a drive voltage of 5v is selected and as a driver if 3.3 volts is selected.  I see in the schematic that there are DNP resistors to bypass the SN74LVC2T45DCTR and drive the transducers from the outputs of the MSP430FR6043.

Is this direct drive recommended or is it preferable to use the SN74LVC2T45DCTR in circuits where only 3.3v drive will be used?

Regards

David
