MSP430FR6047: How to implement MODBUS RTU with MSP430fr6047

MODBUS is a pretty simple serial protocol. At least it was when I used it over 20 years ago but that was with a PCMCIA RS485 adapter and not the MSP430. The only tricky part is controlling the RS485 driver. See errata USCI42.

thanks for the reply, it's ok then kindly let me know how to send the TOF, VFR and other readings to P8.2 and P8.3 UART as a string

Thanks for the information, yes you are correct MODBUS is an OLD protocol, but still that protocol used in many industries and it will help us to transmit multiple device data to long distance, that's why we want to implement in our design but here i am stuck in secondary UART example code(not available), if you have any reference kindly share with me.

If you mean that after seeing an example of the use of one of the serial ports you can't figure out how to use the others, I can't help you.
