I'm posting this inquiry on behalf of my customer. Please see details below:
Purchased the MSP-EXP430FR2355, today I was using it along with the software, energia, for school and for some reason out of nowhere i smell something burning, which i eventually figure out it is the msp430.
While trying to unhook the device, i burned my finger in the process and now the device will not turn on.
I was hoping to get a replacement, seeing how if i plug it back on, it doesnt light up and it begins to bring the heat and burn smell back.Ii can tell you where i was burned when touching the board, it was near where you plug in the cable, a little metal piece right next to the plug in port. As well as the actual chip in the middle began to get extremely hot as well. Causing the whole board to begin increasing in heat. I can also send you the board and you can plug it in yourself and see where it gets hot.
