MSP430F5509: Can I use MSP430F5522 and MSP430F5510 to replace MSP430F5509 with simply selecting the part in project?

Hi,

due to the shortage of MSP430F5509IRGC, I try to find the alternative.

I found that pins definition and spec of MSP430F5522 and MSP430F5510 are very close to MSP430F5509.

Can I just change the setting in project->properties->general->variant to MSP430F5522 or MSP430F5510 from the project of MSP430F5509?

I just need to rebuild and everything is done?

    MSP430F5510 belong to the same family (MSP430F550X) as MSP430F5509, identical part with same package and added more flash (24 vs 32 KB).

    MSP430F5522 belong to MSP430F551X family, same as more popular MSP430F5528 or MSP430F5529. It is not available in 48 pin package.

    I will go with MSP430F5510, and original (MSP430F5509) code untouched should work on MSP430F5510.

    What Zrno Soli proposed is correct. Other SW and HW changes maybe needed if moving to MSP430F5522. Confusingly, the MSP430F5510 belongs to the MSP430F550x family, and not MSP430F551x family.
