Hi Experts,
Good day. We have this query from Cx:
MSP430FR2110 - Is it possible to access PORT input bits byte-wise?
Thank you!

Thanks, David.
It's something like P1IN.5 with a pointer or array? ie: Array[0] as P1IN.0, Array[1] as P1IN.1.
Any way to do this?
Thank you.

Archie A.
Hi Archie,
MSP430 can't access PORT input by bits.
P1IN is a 8-bit register, this record the P1.0 ~ P1.7 value.
Thanks!

Hello Johnson,
Thanks for the update.
Yes, Cx knows those bits and that register. He wanted to know if there is a trick or a memory map that bits can be accessed byte-wise (bit-banding), like arm cores. So in order to check all the bits of a Port in a loop, there is no way other than rotating and testing bits, correct?

Archie A.
Hi ArTzy,
MSP430 don't have some method to access by bit, you have to rotating and testing bits.
