MSP430F4152: Unable to program with MSP-FET430UIF

Part Number: MSP430F4152

We use MSP430F4152 controller in our various portable instruments

We program using MSP-FET430UIF programmer and FetPro430-Lite software utility.

but now we are not able to program. it shows program error

we have checked this with 20 number of boards.

above boards are programmed at first but now reprogramming is not possible.

Please guide us our production is totally halted.

    May I know if the operation will be failed if erase, blank check, write operation is executed one by one?

    I see that you have 2-wire JTAG connected but did programming also fail with 4-wire JTAG? Looks like you may need to connect to those test points though.

    Also, is the crystal oscillating correctly? Although that shouldn't matter since the MSP430 can start up with its internal xtal.

    That board is working properly as we have earlier programmed the controller and it is working properly with old program. We have some software modification so we want to reprogram the IC . when we click on the auto program it fail on verify Security Fuse option button. 

    we have replaced the controller IC on one of our board and now we can reprogram the IC.

    I have one query if Blow Security Fuse option is enable accidentally. then could it be possible to reprogram the controller.

    or is there any way to to program the IC if blow Security Setting is set while programming.

    Hi Anushka

    Please check the description on DS, Once the fuse is blown, no further access to the MSP430 JTAG/Test and emulation features is possible. The JTAG block is switched to bypass mode
