EVM430-FR6043: Getting Error for 300Khz Transducer : DToF - Shift value was greater than maxSampleShift

Hi,

For 300KHz Transducer, you have to set correct frequency, like: F1=280KHz, F2=320KHz in figure 1.

And you need modify "Gap between pulse start and ADC capture" based on pipe length.

You don't got correct waveform, thus some error will occur.

HI,

How to calculate the values for Gap between pulse start and ADC capture(us), any formula is there to get these values.

Because when i lower down this value like -

Gap between pulse start and ADC capture(us) = 130 >> Error : No Signal Detected in up and down stream channel

Gap between pulse start and ADC capture(us) = 30 >> Error: Time between measurement is greater than UPS0 to UPS1 gap

Try this setting, and if can't get normal waveform, you can change "Gap between pulse start and ADC capture(us)" slowly.

Using provided parameter settings,

The ADC capture graph is still not correct as there are still errors :

1) No Signal Detected in up and down stream channel  // Gap between pulse start and ADC capture(us) decreased 

2) DToF - Shift value was greater than maxSampleShift // Gap between pulse start and ADC capture(us) increased

Could you share your hardware connect figure?

And this transducer is 300KHz? correct? You can use frequency swape fiunction to find the suitablt frequency-point.

In USS Design Center User guide. the supported transducer frequency range mentioned is 80KHz - 630KHz.

Can't we tune the parameters for 300KHz transducer ? I do not have the 200KHz or 500KHz transducer

Yes, you can use 300KHz transducer, I think there are some paramaeter need to tuning, llike:

And you also can try to capture USS_IN &USS_OUT pin waveform to check if you can see the below figure:

Red: OUT

Green: IN

Thank you for the support so far.

As per your suggestion, Now I have transducer with freq. 200KHz.

With this sensor, The USS Design center tool does not returns any error now (Keeping sensors at certain distance)

The response for air flow is captured and attached here. We are passing air at max volume rate 10-12 lit/sec for 3-5 sec duration.

Now I want to do detailed flow analysis (waveform for every milli seconds). Can you give some inputs for achieving this.

How to reduce distortions?
