MSP430FR2475: Min pullup resistance for I2C lines

Part Number: MSP430FR2475

Hi team,

Currently we are using a 4.7K pull up on the I2C lines of the MSP. We have 2 I2C lines/MCU and both operate at 400KHz frequency.

When we were doing the validation, we found that the rise time is more than the general spec (300ns max was mentioned) we are getting around 700ns. We are planning to change the pull up resistor to 1K to meet the rise time specification, can you please let us know whether there will be any issue on the MCU side in sinking the current? Is there any recommended min value of pull up resistor below which we should not pullup the GPIO.
