MSP430F147: Windows XP with the MSP430 USB debug interface

I have a MSP430 USB debug interface of these debuggers from TI, and I would like to get it working on Windows XP.

When I connect it to my virtual machine I get this little yellow icon:

I tried using this driver, but the issue was still present.

I know there is a new version of this debugger, however, the old IDE we are using is not combatable with it. We are using this very old IDE...

    Hello Sam,

    Unfortunately, this is out of scope of what we can support here as that debugger and Windows XP are no longer supported by our standard tool chain.  You could try downloading an older version of CCS that includes the relevant drivers and debug chain. That might work for you.
