MSP430FR6047: Higher Error at Lower Flow Rate in Ultrasonic Flow Sensor.

Part Number: MSP430FR6047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EVM430-FR6047,

Hello sir,

We are performing flow accuracy test at our own lab on ultrasonic test flow sensors using the TI-MSP430FR6047 on DN15_DN20_DN25 flow sensors. The un calibrated error pattern we are observing is same in all three and it is showing higher errors at lower flow points and it gradually decreases as the flow points increases. We have performed multiple test cycles throughout the flow ranges for these three DN size but error pattern is coming same, It is shown in below tables.

For error calculation we are comparing the flow rates of our test flow sensor with the reference ultrasonic flow meter, We have done testing on our meters at external standard LAB’s using the same software but error pattern is same which is observed in our internal pattern. Co efficient of variance throughout the flow ranges is within 1-1.5%. It is expected that after performing calibration activities the un calibrated error may come within the desired limit but we want to know what could be the possible reasons for higher error at lower flow rates.

Thanks & Regards,

Manish Saini
