TIDA-010261: eCOMP input voltage exceeds voltage range of MSP430

Part Number: TIDA-010261
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR2476, TLV7031

Hello,

I am currently working on a proof of concept for PoDL.

When I read through your reference design and the application note SNVAA25A I came across this circuitry using the MSP430FR2476:

The above net will be at 24 V when the communication is done. The MCU_COMPIN- Pin will be at around 7 V after the voltage divider.

Won't this voltage damage the MSP430 as said in the datasheet? Or will the current be too low for that to happen?

Thanks for your answer,

Jan
