MSP430FR6047: CCS/MSP430FR6047 How to connect external I2CtoUSB to USS

Part Number: MSP430FR6047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EVM430-FR6047

EVM430-FR6047 board and USS-02_40_00_00-windows-installer.exe are linked.
My project is developing custom board .
so, I tried to connect with USS using external I2CtoUSB.

Upon checking C:\Users\junfirst\USS_02_40_00_00\USS.log, it appears to be looking for Vid 8263 and Pid 2405 as shown below.

VID and PID were defined in the path below.

I would like to know how I can modify the VID (USB_VENDOR) and PID (USB_PRODUCT) in USS to use external I2CtoUSB.

Please help.

  • Hi,

I do not think we are providing the I2C to USB communication bridge in public. Where do you find these information?

If you want to use USS Design center with I2C, you can reserve the I2C pins and one IRQ pin on your board. Connect those three pins to communication port on the EVM board. Then you can use the USS DC.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao

  • There is a problem with the PLL of the board under development, but it has been confirmed that communication is possible.
    Thanks for your help.
