MSP-FET: MSP-FET causing PC to beep

Part Number: MSP-FET

Tool/software:

If I plug one of my MSP-FETs into my Windows 11 PC, it works but I get a "USB Disconnect/Connect" beep every 30s or so.

In Device Manger, if I look at the Event Viewer in Device manager, under Ports(COM & LPT) I can see the MSP Application UART and MSP Debug Interface.

If I then look at the Events tab for the MSP Application UART the information panel states

"Device USB\VID_2047&PID_0014&MI_02\6&48dd2b&1&0002 requires further installation"

and if I then look at the Event Viewer I get an Error listing every 30s for

Device Set Manager Event ID 131 with a description of

Metadata staging failed, result=0x80070490 for container '{3A428A33-54C1-11EF-9375-14755B58C49B}'

If I unplug the MSP-FET, the problem goes away.

Google search suggests this is a Wndows problem awaiting a fix from Microsoft, however,  I have other simialr devices that do not cause this problem so are there any any suggestions as to why this specifically happens with a MSP-FET?

A fix would be very gratefully received as it is very annoying.

Thanks

Neil
