MSP430F6779: What is the minimum voltage for RAM retention mode?

Part Number: MSP430F6779

Tool/software:

Hi,

I have some problems with suspecting that some data in RAM is invalid. After an unusual power outage in the field (frequent AC power outages and then switching to use an AC generator)

in the product we set the CPU to LPM3, after waking up the CPU, the product continue to use the RAM.

So I would like to know what is the minimum voltage for RAM retention mode?

Any other ideas that could cause the data in RAM to be invalid?

  • Hi,

The minimum voltage should align with the supply voltage on VCC which is from 1.8V to 3.6V when PMMCOREVx = 0.

Nosie on the supply chain could cause data in RAM get corrupted. Try use a cleaner supply change on the VCC.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao
