MSP430FR6005: What will cause FRAM password change? If ALL RAM erased, does the chip can be program again?

Hi Team,

My customer is using this chip, they some chip can't work, POR still can't work, re-program can work. They enable password, after use BSL, they found all RAM are FF.

So I think it maybe, some bit of password changed, after BSL, it erase all RAM. So I question is what will cause FRAM bit change? MSP430 will support re-program after password mismatching?

Hi Zane,

Yes, this could be related to the incorrect password.

From my point of view, maybe the sent password might be incorrect due to some noise.

Or, the application access these address and change it. Regarding this scenario, user could enable MPU function to disable the write to these address for unexpected operation.
