am a beginner please say me the selection procedure of crystal for msp430f155 and kindly suggest me a 8mhz crystal and corresponding CL1,CL2, value for msp430f155 controller

    Practically any 8MHz crystal will do. And teh size of C1 and C2 depend on the crystal. The datasheet will tell you the required load capacitance. C1 and C2 each need to be twice the load capacitance (minus 1pf for the MSPs pins and maybe another 1-2pF for the PCB traces). High-quality (NP0) ceramic capacitors are recommended.
