MSP430F5437A: JTAG supported on CCS 20.1

Hi,

I have a doubt regarding the debugging support (JTAG/ Flash Programmer) when using with CCS 20.1.

What option I have for JTAG and Flash programmer, can I use MSP-FET430UIF, XDS110 USB Debug Probe and for Flash programming can I use Elprotronics flashpro430.

Currently I can only see TI MSP430 USB1, TI MSP430 USB2, TI MSP430 USB3 and UART Connection.

Note: Earlier we were using CCS V4 with MSP430F5418A and now we are replacing with pin compatible version MSP430F5437A.

    Hi,

    I would say MSP-FET430UIF and MSP-FET can be used for programming MSP430 MCU. I am not sure if CCS v20 supports flashpro430.

    Choose either USB1/2/3 is okay. The CCS will automatically detects the programmer.

    Thanks for the quick response.

    Could you direct me how to make MSP-FETUIF appear in CCS 20.1 "Connection" list.

    Right now, I only see option for TI MSP430 USB1, TI MSP430 USB2, TI MSP430 USB3 and UART Connection.

    Hi,

    It will not display MSP-FETUIF on the connection list. There will only be TI MSP430 USB1, TI MSP430 USB2, TI MSP430 USB3 and UART Connection.

    It doesn't matter what you have choose in the connection list. It should automatically detect the programmer.
