Hi,

We are using the micro controller "MSP430F5437A".

we want to store the debug information in the flash memory. we have completely used INFORMATION Memory of 512 bytes.

can we use first 120 segments of bank4 for code and remaining 8 segments in bank4 for storing user/debug data?

Is it possible to execute code from same bank and erase/write segments having user/debug data in the same bank

The CPU/flash memory controller doesn't care what is stored. Bits are bits.

The linker on the other hand does care. You might want to edit the linker script to exclude you data area from memory available for your program. Otherwise the two could conflict and your first clue would be the program failing badly because part had been erased.

I will update the addresses in the linker file for the FLASH memory section.

However, I have a question: Is it possible to execute code from certain segments within a bank while simultaneously performing erase or write operations on other segments of the same bank?

It is not possible to execute code and erase/write other segment on the same bank simultaneously.

In this scenario, I may need to allocate three flash banks for code storage and one bank for debug or user data. This approach should prevent any conflicts between simultaneous code execution and flash operations (write/erase), correct?
