The 4x family has an internal controller for plain glass LCD. How to operate it is described in the 4x family users guide, and also in several demo codes and in some threads in this forum.
If you want to attach an LCD with its own controller, teh howto depends on this controller and its interface. Some solutions for rather common controllers are also found in this forum.
