MSP-TS430PN80USB questions compiler error and running the evaluation board stand alone

I compiled and  ran the USBCDC_Example1 and was able to turn on / off  and toggle slow and fast the LED.

However I need help on the following 2 problems:

1. The compiler generates the following warning: I am using the Code Composer Studio Core Edition  Version: 4.0.2.01003T

"This project was created using a version of Code Generation tools that is not currently installed: 3.1.0 [MSP430]. Please install the Code Generation tools of this version, or migrate the project to one of the supported versions. "

How to get rid of this warning?

2. I used MSP-TS430PN80USB kit and MSP-FET430UIF to download and run the program. When I disconnect the MSP-FET430UIF from the Laptop the board stops working. I thought the program is running in the Flash and I do not need the MSO-FET430UIF. 

 How do I run this program stand alone by the USB Kit without the USB debugging interface?
