Hello,

I'm trying to develop a system to transmit information wirelessly from the MSP-EXP430FG4618 experimenters board to a PC.

I'm thinking of ordering the "CC2500EMK Evaluation Module 2.4 GHz" so as to be able to add an antenna and transceiver to the experimenters board.

Would it be possible to connect the other antenna and transceiver circuit which comes with the evaluation module directly to the PC, and communicate this way between the two?

Also, I was thinking of using the MSP-EXP430FG4618 experimenters board as an end-point in a network with the access-point being an EZ430-RF2500 connected to the PC, and communicating between the two using SimpliciTI. Would this be feasible?

one way to setup a link from a MSP-EXP430FG4618 would use the following setup: MSP-EXP430FG4618 + CC2500EMK and eZ430-RF2500. All components would run SimpliciTI. The stack includes the HALs for both pieces of hardware so it should be pretty easy to set up.

another option would be to buy two MSP-EXP430FG4618 boards that each use one of the CC2500EM boards. You could use a RS232 cable to hook the EXP board back up to your PC.

I wasn't sure if the experimenters board and eZ430-RF2500 would work well together with SimpliciTI, but thats cleared things up for me.

yup. they use the same radio (CC2500) so they can speak the same language.
