cc2400 with MSP430?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2400, CC1100, CC2500

I've been able to find the CC430s with the CC1100 integrated, but is there a CC430 with the CC2400 integrated?  If not, are there plans to produce one any time soon?

Thx

  • Hi!

    Check this:

    http://www.ti.com/lit/sg/slab056/slab056.pdf

I've found the CC430 but I do not think you are gonna be lucky :( I'm sorry.

  • Another way to look at it is kind of good news, bad news....

    Copied from http://www.ti.com/product/cc2400

Not Recommended for New Design (NRND)

Replaced By CC2500 – The device has SIMILAR FUNCTIONALITY but is not functionally equivalent to the compared device. Newer device with improved functionality

TI does not recommend using this part in a new design. This product continues to be in production to support existing customers.

So, if the CC2500 series is the newer, going to be supported line ( pages 60-61 of http://www.ti.com/lit/sg/slab056/slab056.pdf ) you might want to consider it.
