ACLK does not work

Hi All,

I use the debug interface MSP-FET430UIF and MSP430G2252. The LFXT1 with 32kHz does not work and the flag OFIFG is set as long as I have connected the MSP-FET430UIF. When I disconnect it from the target board the LFXT1 is running.

What do I wrong?

What kind of supply you are using? If mains powered then try to use batteries and check if it works when connected to debug I/F

The supply voltage is 3.4V and comes from the MSP-FET430UIF debug interface box. The supply voltage is buffered directly at the pin1 and 20 with tantal elko 4.7uf and 100nF ceramic.

I supplied the board for test with an external power supply 3.4V but with the same result.

Normally, there shouldn't be a difference. Whether FET is attached or not shouldn't influence the operation of LFXT1.

However, there might be layout problems, crosstalk, even shorts to the JTAG signals.
