MSP430f5224 VDIO Pins

I see that there are many pins that are internally connected to VDIO in the block diagram. Looking at the block diagram and general purpose I/O section of the datasheet, is there no way to output DVCC (wanting 3.3v) on those pins that are connected to VDIO since VDIO can only be connected from 1.62v - 1.98 volts?

Andy,

You are correct, the pins that are on the DVIO rail can only be driven at the DVIO voltage (1.62V to 1.98V). If you need a higher (or different) voltage, you should use a pin that is connected to Vcc. If you are using a function that is only available on a DVIO pin, such as I2C SDA/SCL out of the USCI module, then you will need to use an external level shifter to get the required IO voltage.
