I am trying to use your USB firmware upgrade tool to make firmware upgrades.

When I try to upgrade firmware which has a small size like 5kB I can make the firmware update. But when my firmware size is big like 85 kB I am getting a memory verification error. I tried the make software update using pyhton app and visual studio app c++ but the result was same.

How can I solve this problem?

Hi,

The MSP430F5503 has only 32 KB Flash memory, so it is not possible to flash 85 KB binary to the device. I wonder how you managed to compile the code also, since the compiler shall fail during linking due to the memory size limitation.

Sorry about the wrong information. I mentioned about the txt file size not the code size. By the way I can execute the code using jtag and CCS.

Hi,

could you try to recompile the Firmware Updater tool with the patch that I made it here:

http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/p/324024/1178566.aspx#1178566

and see whether it works.

Hi

I tried the patch with but it didn't work. By the way I changed microcontroller to MSP430F5510.Still same result.

What could be the problem?
