Where is MSPMATHLIB download?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSPMATHLIB, MATHLIB

The product page for MSPMATHLIB doesn't contain a download link for the library by itself, just a link that takes you to the CCS page.

But.... the description says it is compatible with IAR (which is what I use). I have EW430 version 5.50.1 and it is not included with that version.

I would like to test this out but need the separate download. Katie?

  • mathlib is integrated in IAR from version 5.60 ( you are close )

Version 5.60 TI Math Library for MSP430

The TI Math Library for MSP430 is now integrated into IAR Embedded Workbench for MSP430. This optimized library can bring you increased performance in any applications that use floating point scalar math. Prebuild libraries are provided in the product installation.

in you case you should download mathlib package

    http://www.ti.com/tool/mspmathlib

    install it, and use http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau499/slau499.pdf

You would think, huh? There is no download link on that page to get the just the library itself, thus my original post, hoping that Katie would respond.

you have right it is link for ccs download,

sorry I didn't check this link, I belived to TI,

  • during when we waiting for Katie, I also have one question for her,
    so

"MSPMATHLIB " will be avaliable for G2xxx ValueLine series ?

Well...i won't pretend to be Katie here, but I think I can still address this.  The MSPMATHLIB is only available as part of CCS or IAR (not sure which version started, but the latest versions of both definitely include it).  It is NOT available as a standalone download.

We decided to focus the floating point math library, MSPMATHLIB, on our higher performance parts (such as F5/6xx) as well as our FRAM parts.  As of right now, there are not plans to expand the floating point library to include G2xx parts.  If you need math functions on G2xx, we recommend using the fixed point IQ Math Library.  This library works on all MSP430 devices.

    latest versions

Since I can't use the latest version, (long story, don't ask), I guess maybe I download that, install it on a VM, and extract the files I want and try using them on 5.50.1.

Maybe the product page should be clear on stating that.

I just passed that feedback on.  Hopefully this will get updated soon.
