XMS430FR5969IRGZ MCU is not listed in the target list!

I am fairly new to MSP430!

XMS430FR5969IRGZ MCU is not listed in the target list, i was forced to select MSP430FR5969 from drop down when i create project. If I do so I get "MSP430: Error connecting to the target: Unknown device" error.

Setup: MSP-TS430RGZ48C EVB, XMS430FR5969IRGZ as target chip, MSP-FET430UIF JTAG and CCSv6 IDE for my development.

Could you please suggest me how to select XMS430FR5969IRGZ target and get rid of unknown device error!

XMS is the preliminary silicon version for MSP. please refer here:

which revision do you have? according to the MSP debug stack release notes:

revision D or older is no longer supported (see Changes of version 3.4.0.20):

Changes:

Removed MSP430_GetJTAGID() from MSP Debug Stack API completely
Enhanced debug flow for FR5969 family
Enhanced power up mechanism to handle all MSP430 device requirements
MSP430FR5969 revD and previous revisions are not supported any longer

My target version is: X430FR5969CS

It seems i was struggling with RevC!

Can I use older version of CCS, to make it work?

Hi,

I would suggest you to get the latest MSP430FR5969 sample instead (Rev F or later)
