eval board for MSP430F67651

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F67651

Hi

I am looking for an eval board for MSP430F67651 100 pin device

Is there an eval board for it

regards

subbu

  • There doesn't seem to be. If you go to the product page and click on the "Tools & Software" tab, there are dev boards for other devices in that family.

  • Brian,

    Thanks.

I will make one for MSP430F67651 controller and use it for development

  • Hi

we are planning to use MSP430F67651IPZR 100 pin Micro controller for Lithium Ion Charge management

We have following doubts in hardware

    1.  VREF+  pin number: 11 and 36.  Is it okay to connect to AVCC which is 3.3V.

    Is VREF+ of 10 bit A/D is different from VREF+ of 24 bit A/D

Can I connect both to AVCC

    2.  Can we use internal oscillator for ADC clock and use external clock crystal for all other clocks

    3.  We are using 24 bit ADC for measuring battery voltage and currents. If our maximum input voltage to these ADC pins are 3.3V, then the VREF+ need to be 3.3V.

We need to know the minimum voltage it can sense

    4.  I need to sample three 24 bit ADC channels every 100 ms. How to configure the ADC

    5.   What will be clock stabilization time after power on reset

    6.  What will be minimum power on reset time required

    7.   Can we use 24 bit and 10 bit ADC to read analog inputs

    8.  What will be maximum ADC clock frequency that can be used for both 10 bit and 24 bit ADC

    9.  For using RTC, is it require 32768Hz crystal. Where to to connect the crystal if it is needed

    10.  Is there battery back up for the RTC. Where are the power pins for the RTC module

    11.  How to use PWM for Buzzer. Is there s/w drivers for PWM available. How to configure the PWM ports

    12.  How to configure interal VREF+ for ADC

    13.  Is VREF- by default to be connected to ground. Can we connect it to any other reference voltage

    14.  What is the use of AUXVCC1 and AUXVCC2 and AUXVCC3. Are these power pins require to be connected 3.3V. How do we need to connect these. Do we need some filters.

    15.  What is the use of VAYSY1 and VASYS2. Do we need to connect 3.3V

    15. What is the use of VDYSY1 and VDSYS2. Do we need to connect 3.3V

    16.  Any guidelines for external oscillator connector and routing

    17. Do we need a fast transient LDO for 3.3V supply

Depends on the accuracy you need. You want to eliminate noise on the reference inputs. A filter is recommended at a minimum. Cutoff points determined by your system requirements and implementation.

    Yes.

    Yes.

Not necessarily. You can scale the inputs with a resistive divider. Pick the resistor values and tolerance (precision) to meet your needs.

This is in the datasheet (AC specifications sections). Start looking at Page 67.

    Datasheet. Page 72.

    Yes.

Clock frequencies are listed in datasheet.

    XIN and XOUT

No. RTC is supplied by AUXVCC3 which is retained in LPM3.5 I do not believe is supports battery backup when the rest of the part is off (I may be wrong though).
